Animals caught today were: Uma notata (Glamis) - 20 (10\u03c3, 10\u03ba) Dipsosaurus dorsalis (Glamis) - 15 (9\u03c3, 5\u03ba) Crotaphytus wrighti " - 3 (2\u03c3, 1\u03ba) Urosaurus gracilis .. - 8 (4\u03c3, 4\u03ba) Callisaurus draconoides .. - 1 (\u03c3) Desert-1(\u03c3) Utah stansburiana (Des. Cent.) - 2 (2\u03ba) Coleonyx variegatus .. - 1 (\u03c3) Total 51 We drove 198 miles today. Maximum Temp. today was 100\u00b0 F., minimum temp. tonight was 70\u00b0 F. June 11 We arose at 0645 and ate breakfast. We looked for lizards from 0800 to 1150. Walt, Ray + Frank walked the sand for Uma scoparia while Dave + I drove the road for Dipsosaurus dorsalis. After obtaining our soil sample at noon, we drove slowly to 29 Palms, looking for lizards along the way. After eating in 29 Palms, we returned to Old Dale + entered Joshua Tree Nat'l. Monument from that direction. Along the way we caught Sauromalus obesus and Crotaphytus collaris. We ate at Cottonwood Springs, then drove to Indio. We might collected along Dillon Road from 2100 to 2315,
