Mayhew 1960 Journal 37. May 10 Colorado Desert, Imperial Co., Calif. We drove along the old highway between 1000 Palms & Garnet on the way home, and captured a Dipsosaurus dorsalis, the only reptile we saw. We reached UCR at 1600 after driving 175 miles today, & 396 miles for the entire trip. Maximum temp. today was 109° F. Total captures for the trip were: Uma inornata - 1 (ad ♂) Uma notata - 17 (11 ad ♂; 5 ad ♀; 1 im ♂ [released]) Phrynosoma m'calli - 9 (3 ad ♂; 6 ad ♀) Hypsiglena torquata - 1 (♂) Callisaurus draconoides - 5 (4 ad ♂; 1 ad ♀) Urosaurus gracilis - 1 (ad ♂) Coleonyx variegatus - 18 Dipsosaurus dorsalis - (1000 Palms) - 7 (4 ad ♂; 3 ad ♀)
