Other species of animals seen on the trip home were: Citellus beechyi Phainopepla Crow Raven Turkey Vulture Red-tailed hawk Western Bluebird Calif. quail Prairie Falcon We returned to UCR via Highway 78 and Warne's Hot Springs. Ocotillos are still in bloom in parts of the Narrows, & agave are just beginning to bloom. We reached UCR at 1915 after driving 199 miles today (474 miles for the trip). Maximum temp. today was 94°F. 69 kinds of animals were seen on the entire trip. They are: Neotoma sp.
