Mayhew 1961 Journal 95. Nov. 3 UCR, Riverside Co., Calif. Uma notata no. sex s-v Breeding colors present Remarks 3 ♀ 64 yes no eggs 9 ♀ 70 none (large egg (vary) 13 ♀ 74 slight no eggs 14 ♂ 72 " enlarged hemipenes 16 ♀ 66 " (large egg (vary) 17 ♀ 69 more no eggs 18 ♀ 66 " no eggs 22 ♀ 65 slight " " 25 ♂ 72 yes enlarged hemipenes 26 ♀ 71 slight no eggs 27 ♀ 64 " (very thin) no eggs 29 ♀ 71 " no eggs 31 ♂ 78 " no enlarged hemip. 47 ♀ 69 " no eggs 49 ♀ 66 " (very thin) no eggs 52 ♂ 75 none no enlarged hemip. One of these animals laid an egg today in the cage on top of the sand. Since only #3 Uma notata, of all the ♀ present in the cage, is in breeding colors, it seems quite probable that she is responsible for the egg. It was dessicated when I found it, so I am unable to tell whether it was fertile or not. Since one of the ♂ is also in breeding colors, mating may have occurred.
