Mayhew 1961 Journal 92. Oct. 12 Dale Dry Lake, San Bernardino Co., Calif. Plants that were seen in bloom today were: Alrosia villosa, Pectis papposa, Palopsia linearis, Petalonyx thurberi, Dalea emorgyi. Franeseria dumosa is now in seed. In all, we captured 39 animals today, 7 of which were marked & released. We brought the following back to the laboratory: Uta scoparia - 25 (adult or adult?) Diposaurus dorsalis - 5 (immature) Cnemidophorus tigris - 1 (adult) Crotaphytus wiligeri - 1 (adult) Oct. 20 UCR, Riverside Co., Calif. all the animals in the indoor cages have developed noticeably reduced appetites. Even those in the 24 hour cages eat relatively little compared to what they were a week ago. A few of the Phrynosoma micelli have become quite sluggish, but most of the others seem about as alert as ever. Nov. 2 Val Verde, Riverside Co., Calif. I left UCR at 1315 to see if Sceloporus greutti was hibernating yet. Between 1330 and 1515 I saw 2 adults, 1 immature, and 3 juveniles. The time was spent along Cajalco Road, Wood Road, & Markham Road. In addition, 9 Uta stansburiana and 1 Sceloporus occidentalis were seen during the same period. I caught only 2 of the
