Glamis area, Imperial Co., Calif.
Bill Tinesdell, Ed Eberle, Walt Moberly
+ I left UCR at 1420 for our monthly
collecting trip. We reached the Highline
Canal at 1745, and we began to night
collect immediately. We caught 1 or Coleonyx
variegatus and saw 5 Crotalus cerastes
(2 adult) before we quit for the night
at 2140. We drove north on the Glamis
Amosa Road part of this time to see
if any Coleonyx would be out on the
dirt road the way they were last
month right after the rain. None
were seen here. We drove 52 miles
night-collecting. We camped in a
gravel pit east of Glamis because
there was too much wind to camp
on top of the big dune.

We arose at 0615 and ate breakfast.
Walt + Ed drove the road looking for
Phrynosoma m'calli while Bill + I
worked in the dunes, catching Uma
notata. Walt + Ed drove the road
from 0735 to 1045, then they worked
some dunes also. Bill + I worked
the dunes from 0730 to 1300. Walt
+ Ed caught 5 Phrynosoma m'calli (3 adult,
2 juvenals), 2 Urosaurus graciosa (ad),
2 juvenil Dipsoaurus dorsalis, and 11
Uma notata. During this time, Bill
