dererti in its gut. We looked for animals until the wind came up, which seemed to stop reptile activity. We reached UCR at 1505 after driving 119 miles today, and 730 miles this week. We brought back 54 animals of 6 species, as follows:
Dipsooaurus loralis - 30 (9 ad, 21 immature)
Crotalus cerastes - 2 (ad)
Uma inornata - 17 (8 ad, 9 imm.)
Phrynosoma m'calli - 2 (ad)
Urosaurus gracissa - 2 (ad)
Callisaurus draconoides - 1 (ad)
Some Pelocphora were collected also. This was the first time we had seen this particular group of beetles. Two were collected beneath Larea diviricata, about '1/2 dozen were collected beneath a composite that looks like a juniper.
The September collecting trips yielded 176 animals of 12 species, as follows:
Crotalus cerastes - 2 (ad) (P.S.)
Dipsooaurus loralis - 37 (9 ad, 28 immature)
Uma inornata - 22 (10 ad, 12 imm.)
Uma notata - 42 (9 ad, 33 imm.)
Uma scoparia - 26 (10 ad, 16 imm.)
Cremidophorus tigris - 1 (ad)
