Mayhew 1961 Journal 77. Sept. 14 Dale Dry Lake, San Bernardino Co., Calif. 15 feet north of this bush at the east side of some Hilaria rigida. I took some pictures of it, a tse-clipped Uma seoparia (in B24) was noosed about 400 yards west of the release point. 3 toes have been clipped, 2 Chionactis occipitalis remains, 1 large Uma seoparia remains, 10 live scorpions (large) & 1 live jurunal scorpion, as well as the remains of several others were taken from our traps, along with numerous beetles. Troglobatoma c. mayhewi & Sepinus mayhewi were found for the 1st time since last December. A number of Pelycophorus [illegible]? elso were found for the first time since last winter. The tracks of a baby Crystalus cerastes were seen. a Urosaurus graciosa was seen in Dalea spinosa, but couldn't be captured. Uma seoparia #124 was found in trap #1 (in B76). We learned there had been 0.75" of rain on Aug. 30th. We left the area at 1200. Plants seen in bloom in the 29 Palma area were: Cassia armata, Pectis peppeosa, Palofoxia linearis, Datura metelsides, and some I didn't recognize.
