We caught 6 P. m'calli on this pass (1 ad ♀, 2 ad ? or 3 juv. ♀), as well as 1
juv. Uma notata, 1 ad or Uma notata, &
1 ad ♀ Uta stansburiana. We began
night collecting at 19 00, & quit for
the night at 21 00. We caught only 2
Colonyx variegatus (1 ad ♂, 1 ad ♀), maximum
temp. today was 106°F; minimum temp.
tonight was 80°F. We camped in a
gravel pit 2 miles east of Glamis
because the wind was blowing
sand on top of the large dune
where we usually camp.
Sept. 12 We arose at 0630. We looked for
lizards in the dunes from 0730 to
1030. Very few adult Uma notata
were seen during this period. 3 ad or
& 2 ad ♀ were caught. The remainder of
this species caught this morning
were immature and juvenil. 11 Urosaurus
graciosa were captured during the same period. One baby Crotalus
cerastes was seen and the tracks
of another juvenil were observed
this morning. The middle of the day
was spent in the Glamis store and
exploring the dry lake-bed on the
east side of the dunes about 6
miles north of Glamis. Grass
