Mayhew 1961 Journal 57. July 22 Glamis area, Imperial Co., Calif. increased the pace to 15-20 miles per hour. Phrynosoma m'calli were captured from 0500 to 0915 in the morning, and 1630 to 1755 in the afternoon. 3 Dipsosaurus dorsalis were seen in the morning that weren't caught, however, 3 were caught. One Dipsosaurus and 4 Callisaurus draconoides (1ad & 3 jun.) were seen at 1015. Another Callisaurus was seen at 1100. By this time the air temp.(30") was 36.8°C., the soil surface temp. was 55.0°C. Another Callisaurus was seen on the black- top at the edge of the pavement at 1225 when the air temp.(30") was 39.0°C., & the blacktop was 50+°C. at 1400 the air temp.(30") was 39.0°C., air (1cm) was 41.0°C., soil surface temp. was 55.0°C., road temp. was 56.2°C. a few minutes later (1420) a Dipsosaurus dorsalis ran across the road in front of the carry- all. Two Callisaurus draconoides were seen on the sand in the sun at 1540. At this time the air temp. (30") was 38.2°C., soil surface temp. was 53.0°C. Another Callisaurus was seen on the blacktop at 1605 and 2 more Callisaurus were on the
