Mayhew 1961 Journal 55. July 18 Palm Springs area, Riverside Co., Calif. Then we drove to Granddaddy Dunn near 1000 Palma. We looked for Uma inornata here from 1620 to 1825. We caught 22 animals (3 or 7 ?, 12 [illegible] immature) at this time. We reached UCR at 1950 after driving 372 miles on this trip. Maximum Temp. today was 110°F. Total animals caught on this trip: Uma inornata - 24 (12 released) Uma scoparia - 22(12 released) Cnemidophorus tigris-1 Dipsosaurus dorsalis -34 10(released) Urosaurus graciosa - 6 Phrynosoma m'calli-1 Callisaurus draconoides -1 Crotaphytus wisligeni-1 Thus, 90 animals of 8 species were caught, 56 of which were brought back. July 21 Glamis area, Imperial Co., Calif. Tony Roth & I left UCR at 1250 to collect reptiles. We reached the Highline Canal west of Glamis at 1650 and immediately began to look for Phrynosoma m'calli along the road. At this time the air temp(30") was 39.0°C, substrate temp.
