Glamis area, Imperial Co., Calif.
UCR instead of going on to Dale Dry
Lake as planned because I developed
such a severe case of swimmer's itch
I could hardly walk (pants rubbed
against my swollen knees). We
drove 467 miles on this trip, and
collected the following animals:
Uma notata - 27 (15m, 12 f)
Chionactis occipitalis - 1
Urosaurus graciosa - 5 (30?, 2 f)
Coleonyx variegatus - 3 ad. ?, 1 imm. ?
Callisaurus draconoides - 1 (?)
Phrynosoma m'calli - 6 (5 f, 1 m)
Total 4 animals, 6 species

Palm Springs area, Riverside Co., Calif.
Walt Moberly, Dave Young & I left
UCR at 0530 and began looking for
lizards 4 mi. E. of 1000 Palms at
0700. We looked from then to 0845,
but saw very few lizards. We failed
to catch only one of those we saw.
We caught:
(Uma inornata).
Urosaurus graciosa - 1
Crotaphytus wislizeni - 1 (?)
Uma inornata - 2 (m)
This sandy area looked like it should
support a large Uma inornata
population, but these animals weren't
