April 8
Dale Dry Lake, San Bernardino Co., Calif.
Started looking for lizards at 0830.
Lots of young animals were seen —
we captured 45 of them. 32 of these
were weighed, measured, toe-clipped & released

remainder were brought back to the

Then we drove to the Palm Springs
area. We drove the old highway & Dillon
Road again tonight, but only saw 2
Crotalus cerastes. We spent the night
at Deep Canyon Desert Research Station.
