Mayhew 1960 Journal 9. Feb. 23 Palm Springs area, Riverside Co., Calif. to Palm Springs. We reached the collecting site at 1340. After obtaining the soil samples, we looked around for Uma insignata. Two juvenals were seen, but no immatures or adults. A few Uma tracks were visible, but none of animals of any large size. The weather was quite cool while we were there (air temp.
