Mayhew 1960 Oct. 15 Journal 67. Glamis area, Imperial Co., Calif. 25 Uma notata (adult) [Total Uma - 63] 1 Coleoryx variegatus 3 Urosaurus graciosa Thus, 67 animals were caught today. A number of plants were in bloom in the dunes this trip: Crotton californica Helianthus tophrodia (full bloom) Eriogonum deseticola (full bloom) Palofoxia linearis (full bloom) Petalonyx thurberi (full bloom) Coldenia plicata Lots of new Coldenia & Palofoxia are just coming up. Dicoria canescens is in very good shape, but only buds are present now. Beginning about sunrise the weather became increasingly cloudy. By 0835 the sun could hardly be located, a N.W. wind 5-8 mph. blew most of the morning. The maximum temp. today was only 76° F. We checked in with Mr. Van Der Poel at the Glamis store & learned that no rain had fallen since we installed the rain gauge last month. Then we checked the trap near the Coachella Canal. Again, a large number of beetles were collected for C. Papp. 1 Hedrumo kiruntus also was collected
