Mayhew 1960 Oct. 14 Glamis area, Imperial Co., Calif. Walt Moberly, Bill Thuesdell & I left UCR at 1610 on our monthly collecting trip. We reached the Highline Canal at 1925. We night-collected between the two canals from them until 2345. We drove 62 miles night collecting, & caught the following: 4 Callonvx variegatus (20?, 2?) 1 Phrynosoma m'calli (juv.) Seen DOR were: 2 Phrynosoma m'calli 2 Callisaurus draconoides 2 Uma notata 1 Crotalus cerastes 1 Salvadora hexalopis Minimum temp tonight - 50°F. We drove 210 miles today. Oct. 15 We arose at 0715. The two traps in the dunes contained a large number of beetles. They were collected & brought back to UCR for Charles Papp. Also in these traps were: 2 dead Hadromerus kirchoffi 1 " Crotalus cerastes 3 " Uma notata (juv.) (skulls only) 3 live Uma notata (juv.) We looked for lizards from 0835 to 1420. The weather was cool & overcast, so relatively few adult lizards were active. (Uma) We saw perhaps a dozen adults besides the ones we captured. We captured today: 38 young Uma notata
