2 miles north of Cedar Springs at
0830. On the road between Cajon
Junction and the study area we
saw: Citellus beecheyi Scrub jay
Western kingbird Horned lark
Calif. thrasher Brewer's blackbird
Meadowlark Mourning dove
At the riparian habitat we were
observing, the following species were
seen: Mourning dove Turkey vulture
Cliff swallow Rough-winged swallow
Black phoebe Western bluebird
House wren Black-headed grosbeak
Western wood pewee House finch
Phainopepla Red-shafted flicker
Nuttall's woodpecker Calif. quail
Violet-green swallow Vaux swift
Red-tailed hawk Ash-throated flycatcher
Bullock's oriole Anna's hummingbird
Plain titmouse Rufous-sided towhee

We drove through Cedar Springs to
Millers Canyon Campground & ate lunch.
Here in the conifers & alders along the
Mojave River we saw (elevation - 3460 feet):
