Oenothera claviformis Oenothera deltoides Physalis crassifolia Calyptridium monandrum Nicotiana trigonophylla Perityle emoryi Dalea mollis Hilaria rigida These plants (most of them) were growing in a low spot that was full of water when we were here last month. Many more plants are growing here, but have not matured enough to flower yet. We drove on through Joshua Tree National Monument, where we saw Isomeris arborea, and Datura meteloides in bloom. When we drove through Box Canyon on Highway 195, we saw Cercidium floridum, Ereelia farinosa, Stephanomeria parviflora, Hyptis Emoryi, Lotus scoparius, Isomeris arborea, and Beloperone californica all in bloom. We reached the Glamis area at 1800, when the air temp. was 13.6°C. (56°F.). Consequently, we found no reptiles on the road, even though we drove slowly and looked for them. Torquieries splenders
