Mayhew 1959 Aug. 19 Journal 85. 5 mi. W. of Glamis, Imperial Co., Calif. Dipsoaunus dorsalis - 1 (ad ♀) Callisaunis draconides - 4 (2 ad ♂; 1 ad ♀; 1 im ♀) Thus, we caught 37 animals in the Glamis area today. The maximum temp. here today was 95°F. We left the Glamis area at 1430 and drove to the Dale Dry Lake area, arriving at 1830. 22 mi. E. of 29 Palms, San Bernardino Co., Calif. The road from Dale Dry Lake to the San Bernardino - Riverside county line has just been paved (finished this month), so we drove to the end of the pavement and back to station IV. Two Coleonyx variegatus or were collected near the county line, but no other reptiles were seen. We quit for the night at 2040. There had been a heavy rain in this area last Monday (Aug. 17), and there were many spots where the water had flooded over the road. The minimum temp. tonight was 58°F. The total number of animals collected today was 39, as follows: Uma notata - 27 (10 ad ♂; 2 ad ♀; 7 im ♂; 8 im ♀) Cristalus crastes - 1 (ad ♀) Urosaurus graciosa - 4 (3 ad ♂; 1 ?) Dipsoaunus dorsalis - 1 (ad ♀) Callisaunis draconides - 4 (2 ad ♂; 1 ad ♀; 1 im ♀) Coleonyx variegatus - 2 (ad ♂) we drove 226 miles today.
