Thus, for the entire trip, we captured
105 animals of 10 species, as follows:

Uma notata - 18 (6 ad ♂, 8 ad ♀, 1 im ♂, 3 im ♀)

We reached UCR at 1355 after a trip
of 613 miles.

Phelan area, San Bernardino Co., Calif.
Frank Aubrey + I left UCR at
0405 so we could be at the
collecting area at sunrise, which
occurred at 0505. The first animal
seen was an adult Sceloporus
magister. It was seen at 0558
sitting in the sun on the side of
a Joshua tree. This was at an
elevation of 3600 ft., and the weather
conditions at the time were as
follows:
