June 24 3 mi. N. of Sunnymead, Riverside Co., Calif. Box Springs Mts. We arrived at this spot at 0800 and immediately began to collect both species of Sceloporus in this region (occidentalis and orcutti). They were very numerous when we arrived, even though an early morning fog had just burned off. Within a short time, however, almost none could be found anywhere (by 0900). We quit looking in this area at 0920 and started back for UCR. A few Scelop. occidentalis were seen on fence posts on our way back, two of which were caught; However, reptiles were almost nowhere to be seen by then. We reached UCR at 1000 after a trip of 18 miles. The animals caught today were 14 in number: Sceloporus occidentalis - 7 (4 ad. ?, 3ad. ?) Sceloporus orcutti - 5 (2 ad. ?, 1 ad. ?, 2 imm. ?, 1 im. ?) Uta stansburiana - 2 (1ad. ?, 1 ad. ?) July 7 UCR campus, Riverside Co., Calif. This morning at 0715 Frank Aubrey, Bobby Mayhew & I left my office in Darwin Hall and walked to the east side of the campus. During the morning we caught only 7 animals: Sceloporus orcutti - 4 (3 ad. ?, 1 im. ?) Uta stansburiana - 2 (2 ad. ?) Phrynosoma coronatum - 1 (ad, ?)
