Mayhew 1959 June 10 5 mi. W. of Glamis, Imperial Co., Calif. We began night collecting on the road between Brawley and Glamis at 1920. We quit looking at 2220, after capturing 13 Coleonyx variegatus (6 ad. m, 7 ad. f). All of these were caught west of Glamis - no reptiles were seen on the east side of that settlement. We drove 215 miles today. The minimum temp. tonight was 74°F. June 11 We arose at 0530. After getting our soil samples, we began looking in earnest for lizards at 0745 (near the Coachella Canal). We stopped collecting here at 1215, after capturing the following animals this morning: Diposaurus dorsalis - 4 (2 ad. m, 1 ad. f, 1 imm. f) Urosaurus graciosa - 7 (5 ad. m, 2 ad. f) Uma notata - 15 (5 ad. m, 4 ad. f, 3 imm. m, 3 imm. f) We returned to the canal, where I looked for lizards from 1230 to 1300. I caught 1 ad. m Diposaurus dorsalis, it being the only reptile seen this entire time (see collection sheet for # 47 for temp. conditions at this time). At 1215 when we left the old collecting site, the air temp. was 106°F. Counting the animals captured last night,
