Western bluebird Hairy woodpecker Citellus lateralis mt. chickadee Robin Audubon warbler White-crowned sparrow Violet-green swallow Odoscileus hemignos We returned to the car at 1540, & started back to UCR at 1600. We saw the following animals going to & from UCR: Road out Calif. jay Kingbird House sparrow Mourning dove Shrike Horned lark Cliff swallow Say phoebe Citellus leucurus Raven Pigmy nuthatch Oregon junco Western wood pewee Empidonax flycatcher Calliope hummingbird Red-breasted Sapsucker Eutemia sp. Red-shafted flicker Purple finch Road back Pheasant Calif. quail Kingbird House finch Brewer's blackbird Mourning dove Scolopax occidentalis Red-tailed hawk We captured a total of 62 reptiles amphibians of 10 species, and saw a total of 65 species on the entire trip. We reached UCR at 1730 after a trip of 239 miles, plus 123 miles of night collecting driving.
