Mayhew 1947 April 12 Turkey Vulture Strawberry Canyon, U.C. campus, Alameda Co., Calif. at 10:00 A.M. two individuals were seen wheeling about overhead. They were less than 100' above the ground, + circled without flapping their wings. They came close enough that their naked red heads could be seen.
