Mayhew 1950 Cinnamon Teal April 2 Conaway Ranch, 2 miles east of Woodland, Yolo Co., Calif. This afternoon I saw 4 pairs in the large drainage ditch that forms the southern boundary of the ranch. Nearly always they were in open spots of water that are surrounded by tule. I didn't see one of them more than 15 feet from tule while they were on the water. Each pair flew about 50 yards & settled into the tule in the same ditch from which they were flushed. When they were flushed again, both pairs flew to another ditch about 200 yards south of the original ditch, where they landed about 10 feet apart. 1952 Conaway Ranch, 2mi east of Woodland, Yolo Co., Calif.
