June 29 Tonight we had to go to 7 different bridges before we could band 50 birds. At the bridge 1 mile west of road 98 on road 29, 6 miles N.W. of Davis, the birds had gone completely, as they had at the bridge 1 1/2 miles west of road 98 on road 27. Under the bridge 1/2 mile west of the intersection of roads 31 & 95, only young birds were found, but at the other bridges the majority of birds were adults. June 30 There were absolutely no birds under the poleline bridge tonight. We had to go to 4 bridges before we banded 9 birds. July 10 Bridge, 4 mi. west of Davis, Yolo Co., Calif. The birds had left this bridge by the time I visited the bridge today. July 13 Conaway Ranch, 2 mi. east of Woodland, Yolo Co., Calif. Cliff Swallows were seen in the air over the extreme N.E. corner of the ranch, & over the bridge at Willow Slough at the wet bottom.
