Mayhew 1950 Cliff Swallow 5. April 22 Poleline Bridge, 3 mi. N.E. of Davis, Yolo Co., Calif. There are 111 new nests + 6 nests from last year that have been repaired. Nearly all the new nests are in section 2, that had only 3 nests from last year. The nests constructed this year are shown on the chart (page 3) with black numbers circled in red. Tonight I returned & banded as many as I could catch. There was just about 1/4 of a moon shining, but it was enough to give trouble. The birds could see too well, & many escaped that should have been banded. Those that we returns were: 44-54393 - 3-38 44-54400 - 3-51 The only repeat was: 49-25533 - 3-48 The new birds were: 49-25539 - unknown 49-25553 - 2-96 49-25540 - unknown 49-25554 - 2-102 49-25541 - 2-93 49-25555 - 2-100 49-25542 - 2-91 49-25556 - 2-67 49-25543 - 2-50 49-25557 - 2-67 49-25544 - 2-48 49-25558 - 2-74 49-25545 - 2-51 49-25546 - 1-2 49-25547 - 1-3 49-25548 - 3-31 49-25549 - 3-36 . 49-25550 - 3-49 49-25551 - 3-60 49-25552 - 3-72
