Woolsey Canyon, Alameda Co., Calif.
At 9:50 A.M. one was seen feeding near the
outer branches of a live oak tree. As it
moved about the branch, which was about
30 feet above the ground, it uttered single
chipping notes at irregular intervals. At
9:52 A.M. it flew north-east out of sight.
