Mayew 1947 Western Robin 4. May 8 2520 College Ave., Berkeley, Alameda Co., Calif. until it stopps wiggling, then stand motionless again until they locate another worm. Sometimes they drop 2 or 3 worms on the ground in order to pull another one out of the ground. Then they collect up all the dead worms they have dropped. When they get their bills full, they take the load to the nest, provided the other parent isn't already there. In that case, they wait patiently until the first bird leaves the nest. May 9 U.C. campus, Alameda Co., Calif. 9:10 A.M. an adult is still sitting on the nest, and is still facing east (Oxford Circle nest). 3:15 P.M. The adult is still on the nest, facing east. May 10 8:00 A.M. The adult is still facing east on the nest, at 12:10 P.M. the adult is still facing east on the nest. As yet, no sign of the other bird has been seen, at 6:10P.M. the adult is still facing east on the nest. May 12 9:15 A.M.
