Conaway Ranch, 2 mi. east of Woodland, Yolo Co., Calif.
This evening, from 7:30 to 8:30 P.M., Lee & I made a census south of new headquarters & mostly east of the main canal. The total count was 17 ♀, 69 young, & 4 ♂. The breakdown was as follows:

July 13
This morning from 8 to 10:30 AM. we censused the By-pass area north of new headquarters and northwest of new head-quarters. We saw a total of 7 ♂, 24 ♀, & 115 young. The breakdown is as follows:
