Thompson 92 Mesa Verde Interview with Finnan, continued Nov. 8, 1930 Mountain Sheep were here in the past, but not in recent times. We think they could live here if reintroduced. Antelope seem to be out of the question. Bob White Quail have been introduced near the park & so have California Quail, & Plovers. The Scaled Quail & Gambel Quail are native here. Some Blue Grouse are in the park; 24 were seen one morning this summer at the construction camp. Finnan contemplates the development of water holes on the Mesa. This would greatly augment wild life. It would not be a great expense & seems very desirable.
