J. pachyphloea, Alligator bark juniper. 28. J. I. glabrida, creeping juniper. As far as I can ascertain this is found only in the Chisos mts. for Texas. 29. Quercus many species. Miller, a botanist at the U. of Texas says there are 8 species new to U.S., found here. He has not published yet, but has worked on flora of the region. 30. Acer grandidentatum, maffle. 31. Arbutus xalapensis, madrone. 32. Prunus serotina or salicifolia or both. The latter is a Mex. form extending into mts. of western & southern Texas. 33. Cercocarpus parvifolius + possibly parvidentatus. Of course, there is much more, but these are representative.
