several chickadees
numerous horned larks

Eight coyote tracks seen enroute today. Three cottontails likewise.
Range in excellent recovery condition but no great quantity of grass.
In some of the wash beds growth was twice high & luxuriant in growth.
Covajia juniper & sage recovering remarkably.
Deer tracks not numerous. It seems to me that the range is not nearly normally stocked with deer.
