The deer were in wonderful condition, full winter coat and bounded into the junipers as we drove up. The Papalier trucks were so light as to be almost analfino.
Birds seen:
Golden Eagle, 2. One flew up from the ground near Donelson Tank. The other flew over the Ranch.
Marsh Hawk, 6 seen. Of these 2 were eating some prey. All were on the grassland.

Raven 2
Shrike, 4. One shrike chased a small bird for 1/3 mile then another shrike joined in the chase. We could not see the finish.
