Grand Canyon Down in the Canyon. 80 Rooley Mt. perhaps the Utah Tree Birch. As a general impression, there was very little evidence of mammalian or reptilian life down in the canyon. Water & food seem to be a limiting factor, but not much as to account for the scarcity now prevalent. Birds on the South Rim: Western Robin, abundant Mexican Bluebird "" Crested Jay "" Woodhouse's Jay "" Pigmy Nuthatch, "" Mountain Chickadees "" Slender-Billed Nuthatch, scarce. #Gray Titmouse, a few Lithornis Jay abundant
