Thompson 76 Grand Canyon, Nat'l Park South Rim Elevation 7000 Nov. 2, 1930. Mammals seen: Bule Deer Two does near the village. They are in blue winter coat & good condition. They have been imported from the north rim. There are about 50 in this vicinity. They feel hey in the winter. Albert Squirrel The squirrels are abundant around the village. Bear None. Though they used to be for this region. Chipmunks Not plentiful, though occasionally seen. In the Canyon: Trip taken by G.M.W. & B.H.V. Oct. 31 - Nov 1, from Hermit Trail to Bright Angel Trail. Mammals: Bule Deer: Two does & 2 fawns seen down in Hermit Basin. Tracks were seen at
