Canyon July 22, 1932 In the camp grounds housekeeping quarters there is a few brown type & 1 of the 2 small blacks. The daytime crew of camp bears seems to be dwindling. The night crew I think is a different set consisting of older bears of cuber. Expect to get the brown with 2 blks. color. Should also get all large black or large brown. Lake & Fishing Bridge Al Elliott, district ranger, came that the bear problem at Lake this summer is a very minor one. A few depredations have occurred in the Fishing Bridge camp. One large brown needs to be killed; several of the younger bears are being trapped and deported. Three were taken away today. They were released by the mud-geysers, which is too near I think. The Lake Grizzly show was discontinued last Monday night. There have been reports of grizzlies in the camp, but not verified as yet. says that in 1929 when he used to give this evening lecture in the lake, he used to see grizzlies go right through the camp walls.
