Canyon
11:30 AM.
Have just arrived from Mammoth.
On short tour of camp ground, I find
that the situation is practically
the same this morning as it was
yesterday. There were 27 parties
in the camp last night. Most of them
were gone by noon, &t of those I
talked with, all but one had suffered
property damage to no sleep. After
I were able to tell me of about 5 cases
of property damage. The large brown
with 2 black cubs was reported as
the main offender.
At the incinerator there are: 1 brown,
1 black, & the family of 3 cubs. The custodian
says he notices fewer bears this A.M.
