Mammoth July 16, 1932
The day spent in roughing out grizzly
skeleton. The men at the Mammoth
Incinerator said that this morning
about 5 AM, 2 grizzlies were at the
garbage pile just beyond the furnace.
They ran into the Gardiner Canyon
when the men got up. Coyotes howling
nearly had awakened them.
This is the first grizzly they have seen at
Mammoth in the 3 years they have been here.
