Thompson 385 July 14, 1932 nervous and the situation is exceedingly dangerous. The sides of the bleachers should be enclosed by a bear proof fence of some sort with only the exit and ramp left open toward the feeding platform. People are actually unprotected by the present setup. As we drove home this evening we saw a band of several elk in the Norris Meadows. A few miles north of Norris 38 elk were feeding in the meadow near the road. Two of them were bulls with antlers nearly fully developed. No calves of this season were seen. In the canyon just below Virginia Cascades we saw a cow moose & calf. Four other adult moose & 1 calf were seen in Willow Park. This was about 8:30 P.M. The beaver from the house west of the Tong Beaver dam by Abrichan Cliff was out in this lake. One doe was seen near Beaver Lake and one near Jupiter Terrace.
