Sugar says the pelicans do not nest in
the region but that thousands begin
to come in each season about this
time; he does not know where they
nest, I can't understand where thousands
could come from either.
1 mammoth seen.
Sugar reports that about 60 badgers
[illegible] were taken from the vicinity last
winter. Also, many coyotes. He saw
no deer nor elk all entire day.
Cattle raising is the main industry
of the region.
