Two Caspian Terns were seen on the
islands, but their nest (if there) was
not found.
We counted! 180 White Pelicans
at the colony, if many of them
were away fishing, as most probable,
the colony is at least 250 birds this
year. This would coincide with the
126 nest count, that is allowing 2
adults per nest.
A census of waterfowl was taken
from Mammoth to the islands:
