Thompson 65 General Impressions of the Park. Oct. 6, 1930. The Bear Prairie region is too isolated to give any great danger to deer wintering there. It is also, reported to be very lightly hunted during open season. No specific problem seems to present itself here. The Clear Fork region is the critical one for wintering deer.
