From Lake to McGinnis thence to Shoshone Lake Old Faithful August 1, 1931
Two Sandhill Cranes were seen in the meadow 2 miles west of Norris. They acted as though they might have young hidden in the timber.
At the west end of Shoshone Lake we saw 2 pairs of Trumpeter Swans. One pair had 3 cygnets. This end of the lake is marshy. One deer was seen and many elk tracks.

Mrs. Sherwood's museum near Henry's Lake.
Mrs. Sherwood had two adult Trumpeter Swan specimens obtained about 35 years ago from Henry's Lake and 4 eggs, and 2 cygnets. She also had a Sandhill Crane & young 2 wolverines obtained just west of the park, cougar, cross fox, and 1 black wolf. These are the only ones of particular note.
