onipson 182. Grand Teton Natl. Park July 9, 1931, Emma Matilda Lake Two Ocean Lake lies about 1 mile north of Emma Matilda. It is a reservoir with a dam at the south end. No swans were reported on this lake & we were too late to see the lake. As we came to the sage brush of the Jackson Hole valley, about 1 mile east of Emma Matilda, we flushed a family of 4 grown sage hens & young. I feel that every bit of this country south of Yellowstone Parks from the Thoroughfare, Grand River Cliff down to & including Jackson Hole and the Tetons, should comprise one national park with Yellowstone. It is scenically outstanding and is a game unit -- at present cut in half. It would probably need 2 administration centers, but should by all means, be one big park. It seems like the only large area available for one complete game area.
