ompson 1871. Grand Teton Nat'l. Park July 8, 1931 Emma Mathilda Saker. of the lake. They kept in distinct pairs. One pair was noticeably smaller, perhaps last year's young of the old pair. He made the complete circuit of the lakes shore & found no nests nor great sites, & deserted beaver houses were left either at the edge of the water or high & dry due to the lowering of the water level. They seemed to have been deserted several years ago. Trumpeter Swan feathers, wing primaries, secondaries, & tertials, were found at intervals around the lake putting the molt previous to July 8th Tracks, resembling muskrats, were seen in abundance in the mud at the south east end of the lake. The south boundary of the lake is lined with heavy forest & underbrush; the north side with open aspen, brush, & grassland. The lake is not an ideal Swan nesting place but is ideal moose and deer country. 2 does were seen
