Rocky Mt. Natl Park
Never Summer Range

Never Summer Range are wonderful sheep country, open grassland & rocky crags in abundance. Scotty says Mt Shelf are not in the NS Range, but the man at the saw mill says they are scattered all along it.
Scotty & other trapers, all reported having caught marten, minke, red fox, weasel, and coyote in traps, but no fisher, which they think [are] not there. Scotty thought a few wolverine remained although he had never caught any.
Domestic Sheep graze up as far as Poudre Pass, [but] do not come into the park.
The Ditch: a canal following the 10500 ft. elevation, flows across all the watersheds from the south side of Round Mt. to over Poudre Pass to the north & another one from the Specimen Mt. Watershed for the east side of the Colorado. These two canals take all the permanent and flood run-off of the upper Colorado watershed over to FA Collins for irrigation. The canals drain
