Birds seen or heard in the Canyon:
1. Yellow Warbler
2. Harbling Vireo, nesting in tree about
15 ft. above ground. Nest
small, 2" diameter, cup. Male
sits on nest & sings.
3. Say Phoebe, nesting under lodge eves.
4. Western Robin
5. Black Headed Grosbeak
6. Flicker
7. Spotted Towhee
8. [illegible]catchers
9. Brewer-Black Redwing Blackbirds
nesting in slough in
front of lodge. Nests had
young just hatched & eggs.
Slough is being filled.
10. Phainopepla - Rockeville
