Last wolf killed 1911 down
in southeastern corner of park
on Ohanapecosh River. Some
are claimed to be in the
park at present. Barnett
thinks not.
A few wolverines are
probably in the park.
Mt. Goetz estimated 220-275.
Goats move back & forth from
Parries to Cascades.
Open season on elk in
Lewis County. Barnett
thinks this is unratified.
Bear have increased in last
few years. Bear sign abund.
earound Tomama Mt. & over by White River.
Mt. Goetz found moronally
at Ludlow Key, Comanche
Ridge, Goat Island Mt., Coulitz
Park.
Superintendent wishes that
park boundary on East reached
to top of Cascades Divide.
It was originally so planned
but cattle, sheep, & other interest
