from a single species as a
rule. One necklace is
modern canine teeth of
gaypers only, another of
monkey molars, other of
canine teeth of peccaries,
etc.
18 Visited the National
Library & looked over the
National History books. They
had Tschudi's Flamma
Peruvian, Thaxton's
Birds & many works on travel
but practically no pamphlets
or short papers on systematic
works. The library is really
very poor & far behind the times
